A Seating Chart in One Evening, Not One Month

The seating chart is the last big decision before the wedding, and the one that touches every guest. A few habits keep it calm.

  1. 01

    Start with parties, not people

Give every guest a party, like Jordan's family or College friends. Seat Everyone For Me keeps each party together at one table whenever it fits, and then you fine tune by dragging.

  2. 02

    Seat the edges first

Place the people who need it most before anyone else: grandparents near the head table and away from the speakers, anyone with a wheelchair or a stroller near an aisle, and little ones close to their parents.

  3. 03

Set the room, then the guests

Add the dance floor, the bar, the cake, and the entrance first. Once the room looks like your venue, it is easy to see which tables feel close to the action and which feel quiet.

  4. 04

Send it to your venue and your vendors

Print the room, each table, and an alphabetical list for escort cards. Email it to me too: knowing where your families sit helps me find them quickly during toasts and family photos.
